A 22 year old man approached a United States Congresswoman and put a bullet in her head. Moments later he turned the gun on the stunned audience and began to fire indiscriminately into a sea of human bodies that had gathered that day to support democracy.
One child, a nine year old girl, did not mean to die a martyr. She did not die as a sacrifice to innocence everywhere, she did not die because of a map littered with cross-hairs, she did not die because of god, or righteous indignation, or rebellion, or miscalculation, she died because she was murdered.
